Behold the , a pair of smart glasses that are being marketed specifically for livestreaming. That livestreaming capability, enabled by onboard cameras, can happen in a number of places, according to Mentra. Among them are platforms like X (duh), YouTube (yawn), Twitch (double duh), and OnlyFans (wait, what?). Yes, that’s right. Mentra specifically lists OnlyFans as one of the platforms you may, potentially, sometimes, want to livestream to.
For me, easily the most interesting part of these smart glasses is that they’re open source and come with an app store. I’ve tried in the past few months, and the biggest complaint I’ve had about most of them is that the capabilities feel limited for now. Opening up the field to let people expound on capabilities themselves does make a lot of sense in theory, though we’ll see if anyone actually bothers to develop apps. At the very least, OnlyFans livestreaming is a decent way to spice up marketing.
